We break everything out by lumber size and building section. And we tell you exactly what's included, what's excluded, and what was ambiguous in the plans — before you order, not after.

Serenade Takeoffs started with a simple conversation.
As a building materials representative, Justin was tired of the same recurring bottleneck: the material takeoff. In the high-stakes world of quoting, takeoffs were slow, inconsistent, and expensive. He knew the industry needed a disciplined, repeatable way to move from blueprints to takeoffs, but the tools just didn't exist.
He shared his frustration with his friend, Zach. While Justin understood the nuances of a framing package, Zach brought a specialist’s background in computer systems and automation. Zach didn't see a "construction problem"—he saw a data problem that was ready for a technological revolution.
That one conversation turned into a year of relentless collaboration. By analyzing thousands of real-world plan sets, they built a workflow that prioritizes clarity over assumptions. The result is Serenade Takeoffs, powered by their proprietary AI engine, Vectrai.
